For those interested, I just finished a four part series on the life of Jeff Porcaro. MD is giving him a tribute in their August issue- it's been 10 years already!

I have also updated and put a year-by-year chronology of almost all his sessions from 1971-1992.

Good question. When I first read the original post, I couldn't figure out if PocketPlayer was talking about the upcoming MD article, or a separate tribute on a website somewhere.

As long as we're on the topic, I just wanted to say that, after reading this month's tribute to Jeff, I felt inspired to play along with some records he's played on (Scaggs, Toto, Steely Dan's "Katy Lied", Michael McDonald). That was one of the most enjoyable practice sessions I've ever had!!

Jeff is one of the all time greats in my book!

No, I'm not Robyn Flans, but thanks for the compliment. I was stunned at the familiarity of
the MD tribute to Jeff as compared to a recent four part series I compiled about the man. I had
put the chronology and series together for the remembrance of his 10th year of passing.
